Clayton Kershaw Robs Tim Hudson with Behind-the-Back Grab
You've seen Clayton Kershaw confound hitters all season with his arm. Now watch him do it with his glove.
The Los Angeles Dodgers ace was the aggressor in some pitcher-on-pitcher crime Wednesday night, robbing Giants starter Tim Hudson of a possible RBI single with a beautiful backhanded snag. Kershaw checked the runner at third and fired over to Adrian Gonzalez for the force out.

While a Hunter Pence fielder's choice would score Joaquin Arias the next at-bat, Kershaw's defensive play helped him get out of the inning without any further damage.
The 26-year-old lefty came into Wednesday looking to match his career-best 21 wins—a total that would only further cement his Cy Young status and continue building his case for MVP.
Kershaw has gotten the win in each of his past six starts and sat 20-3 with a 1.80 ERA and 0.86 WHIP before taking on his division rivals. The inevitable Cy Young triumph will make him the first player since Tim Lincecum in 2008 and 2009 to take home the award in back-to-back seasons. It's possible he'll also become the 11th player in history to win a Cy Young and MVP in the same campaign, the first since Justin Verlander three years ago.
The Dodgers came into Wednesday's game looking to clinch their second straight NL West title. With a couple more plays like that from Kershaw, the team and its star might wind up accomplishing their respective goals.
