Goals Galore in Merseyside

Liverpool and Everton have conceded a combined 21 goals in 10 matches. Brendan Rodgers may have told reporters he plans on putting extra work into solving his team's defensive issues, but neutral fans must be begging him to wait one more week.
As reported by the Liverpool Echo's Phil Kirkbride, Rodgers plans to focus on set-piece defending and believes his team will do better moving forward:
"We will need to put extra work into it. We put a lot of time into our organisation so we will have to analyse it more. It (West Ham’s opening goal) was a disappointing goal to concede. We have no excuses. We made some changes to the team which we are going to have [to] do along the way but we have no excuse. [...]We will continue to work how we have done, it’s just we have not been playing well enough. It is as simple as that.
"
The Reds' group of defenders saw a lot of turnover during the summer, and some early struggles were expected. Everton's issues go deeper, but at their very core, both clubs aren't too dissimilar: Both Rodgers and Roberto Martinez are attack-oriented managers.
There's a lot of work to be done for both managers, and we can surely expect some changes in the coming weeks. But we shouldn't see too many on Saturday—early in the season, this match is pivotal for both sides.

Liverpool are chasing a top-three finish, and Everton are gunning for one of the European spots. Neither club is anywhere close to where they should be in the standings, so don't expect any punches to be pulled on Saturday.
Expect wide-open attacking football from both teams, with plenty of good looks on goal. Liverpool may have the more talented bunch, but the Toffees have a reputation for doing well in the big matches.
Wackiness Continues in North London Derby

After three consecutive draws, Arsenal bounced back in a big way with a convincing win over Aston Villa. With virtually all other top clubs dropping points in Week 5, there was plenty to celebrate for the Gunners and their fans.
We've seen these sudden bursts of optimism all season, however. Just one week ago, Manchester United had turned the corner and were ready to start their run after a solid performance against Queens Park Rangers. One 5-3 loss to Leicester City later, the question marks are back.
Tottenham were on the right track after their big win over QPR as well, until they ran into Rodgers and his Reds. It's been nearly impossible to read into teams' form this season, and one strong performance doesn't change the fact Arsenal remain susceptible at the back.
As shared by The Sun, the Gunners really don't have a lot of options to choose from defensively:
Spurs have struggled in 2014-15, but at their best, they can be a surprisingly strong offensive squad. If Jan Vertonghen's defensive form holds up, Tottenham have the potential to ruin their rivals' optimism after Week 5 in a heartbeat.
