LeBron James Cleared His Mind During 2014 NBA Finals by Going to Movies Alone

Kyle NewportJun 9, 2014

After a difficult ending to Game 1 of the 2014 NBA Finals, LeBron James needed to find a way to clear his mind. That led to him doing a couple of things out of the ordinary.

Severe cramping forced James to be carried to the bench, where he spent much of the final seven minutes of Thursday's Game 1. There was nothing he could do as he watched the San Antonio Spurs pull away for the victory.

Folks on the Internet had plenty of fun at James' expense after the Game 1 episode, as cramping memes spread like wildfire.

As a result, James needed to give his body and his mind a break.

Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press reported that the Heat superstar took a trip to the movies on Saturday night. James went to a theater just a few miles from where the Heat were staying to relax. The star went to the theater by himself to watch Maleficent.

One fan was pretty stoked to see the NBA star at the theater:

Judging by how he bounced back in Game 2, James should go to the movies between games more often. The two-time NBA Finals MVP dropped 35 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Heat to victory in Game 2.
