Premier League Week 14 Table: Full Standings After Saturday's Action

Richard LangfordNov 30, 2013

Arsenal had little trouble earning a 3-0 away win over Cardiff City on Saturday in Week 14 to extend their to lead to seven points atop the Premier League table.

Of course, that lead will almost surely be cut back down to four before the week is complete.

On Sunday, Liverpool will travel to take on Hull City and Chelsea will host Southampton. Both teams will have the opportunity to close the gap with Arsenal to four.

Aaron Ramsey picked up a brace against Cardiff City by scoring the first and last goal of Arsenal's 3-0 victory. For those keeping track at home, Arsenal have now scored five goals in their two EPL matches since being blanked in a loss to Manchester United.

The easy win over 17th-place Cardiff was certainly not unexpected, but an away triumph is never a bad thing, and Arsenal have further entrenched themselves at the top of the table.

Everton had an even easier time of things on Saturday as they enjoyed a dominating 4-0 triumph over 16th-place Stoke City.

Playing in front of the Goodison Park faithful, Everton spent almost the entire first half frustrated. Although they were dominant throughout, it wasn't until midfielder Gerard Deulofeu found the back of the net in the 45th minute that Everton had a score. It was only a matter of time before active Everton found a score.

They kept Stoke goalkeeper Asmir Begovic busy. The goalkeeper allowed four goals, but in his defense, he also had eight saves.

In other action, Aston Villa were unable to add any more than a point in their away match with lowly Sunderland, and they were lucky to get that draw after launching just one on-target shot to Sunderland's four.

Gary Hooper netted a goal for Norwich City in the 30th minute. That remained the match's only goal as Norwich continued Crystal Palace's woes with a 1-0 triumph. Norwich now has 14 points on the year.

After going scoreless in the first half, the floodgates opened for West Ham with three second-half goals from three different players to give them a 3-0 victory over sinking Fulham.

Newcastle netted the only goal of the first half in their match with West Brom on this zany header:

West Brom's Chris Brunt hit an away equalizer for in the 53rd minute, but just four minutes later, Moussa Sissoko put Newcastle back on top 2-1, and that is where the score remained as the clock wound down on Saturday's final match.
