The top three teams in Bundesliga have a commanding lead at the front of the pack, and they will be looking to continue the impressive pace during Matchday 12.
With Matchday 12 kicking off, third-place Bayer Leverkusen still holds a six-point advantage over Borussia Monchengladbach. Meanwhile, Nurnberg, currently sitting at the bottom of the league with just seven points, is only 12 points out from fourth place.
A number of other teams are in the hunt for that No. 4 spot, including Wolfsburg, Schalke, Hertha Berlin and Werder, with all of those teams within four points off of Monchengladbach. The big match to watch will be Werder going up against Schalke, with the two teams ranked No. 8 and No. 6, respectively.

Hannover 96 0, BTSV 0
Two teams that hadn't played each other in 37 years went head-to-head on Friday, but there wasn't much to talk about in this one.
Hannover was the busier team during the match, maintaining possession 57 percent of the time. They also shot 19 goals with six on target, while Braunschweig only took eight shots with one on goal.
However, the game ended in a scoreless draw, just the second game of the Budesliga season to end at 0-0. Mame Diouf had a couple of opportunities for Hannover, but he couldn't make the most of his chances and was unable to score.
A win would have moved Hannover up into No. 6 before everyone else was able to play, but instead, they had to settle for a draw with one of the worst teams in the league.
Meanwhile, Braunschweig got a much-needed point, moving out of last place and moving into No. 17. Still, the team is in the relegation zone, and they're going to have to do a lot more in order to get out of the bottom of the league.
Bayern Munich 3, FC Augsburg 0
It was business as usual for Bayern Munich as the German powerhouse took its dominance over the league to a historic level. According to Fox Soccer, Die Roten have set a new standard for excellence with a 37 match unbeaten streak.

Jerome Boateng put Munich on top just four minutes into the contest and Augsburg never stood a chance after that.
Wolfsburg 2, Dortmund 1
A clash between top five clubs in Wolfsburg and Dortmund promised to be one of the top matches of the week and it didn't disappoint.
Dortmund struck first with a goal at the 45 minute mark from Marco Reus. However, it was Wolfsburg who would prove to be the better club in the second half as Ricardo Rodriguez and Ivica Olic each found the net and took the lead.
Rodriguez was named the man of the match by WhoScored.com:

The win could turn out to be huge for Wolfsburg. They moved to No. 5 on the table and kept Dortmund within striking distance by denying them any points.
Schalke 04 3, Werder 1
Kevin-Prince Boateng shined for Schalke in this matchup of two mid-table teams looking to rise to the top. He scored the equalizer after Felix Kroos gave Werder the early 1-0 lead and came back with a second goal at the 85 minute mark to give Schalke a big win.
Bayer 5, Hamburger SV 3
Bayer and Hamburger put on the match with the most fireworks in Saturday's action. Son-Heung Ming provided the early spark with two goals in the first 16 minutes to give his team a 2-0 lead. He added a third to get the score to 3-2 after Pierre-Michel Lasogga knotted the score at two apiece.
Bayer would hold the lead from that point on as they drew even with Dortmund at 28 points on the table.
Hertha BSC 3, Hoffenheim 2
Hertha Berlin pulled out a narrow victory over Hoffenheim in mid-table action, but it wasn't easy. Die Alte Dame needed a goal from Adrian Ramos at the 84-minute mark to preserve the lead after back-to-back goals from Sejad Salihovic tied the match at two apiece with just nine minutes left.
The win sees Hertha at No. 7 on the table with plenty of time to continue trending upward.
Mönchengladbach 3, Nürnberg 1
The Foals had an easy assignment on Matchday 12: Beat the worst club in the league.
They did just that with a 3-1 that has them just outside the top three and an automatic spot in the Champions League. Monchengladbach had three different goal scorers, including Patrick Herrmann who scored the third and final goal to ensure Nurnberg could not equalize at the 87 minute mark.
