Fantasy Premier League 2013 Week 6: Bargain Players Who Will Bring Success
With many fantasy owners clamouring to include Mesut Ozil in their fantasy lineups, it's necessary to pick up cheaper players who can still provide a meaningful contribution. That can be easier said than done, but there are a few bargains to be had going into Week 6.
Robbie Brady, Hull City
Robbie Brady got himself a goal and an assist as Hull took down Newcastle at St. James' Park. If your midfield needs a cheap player who is basically guaranteed a game, look no further than Brady.
Brady looked impressive in orchestrating the Tigers' attack on Tyneside, and Steve Bruce will be relying on him to put in regular performances like that. His side always look likely to concede, so it's vital that they have a creative player like Brady to provide assists as well as goals.
Hull face West Ham at home in Week 6, so they will be looking to make it two wins in a row. Brady will be central to that, and at a price of £4.5 million, he's an absolute steal.
Nathan Redmond, Norwich City
Chris Hughton seems to have landed a quality winger in Nathan Redmond. In Week 6, the Canaries will need a moment of magic like the one he produced against Southampton, as they face a very tricky trip to Stoke.
Norwich are again struggling to find the net, but in Redmond they have a player who can always create something. Norwich fans have immediately taken him to their hearts, with chants of "you don't know what you're doing" aimed at Hughton after Redmond was substituted in the loss to Aston Villa.
Redmond is likely to get the start, as Norwich desperately need to get clear of the relegation zone.
The Canaries have just one win this year, and that was thanks to Redmond. Picking him for the Stoke game could be a risk worth taking.
Ross Barkley, Everton
In Week 6, Everton face Newcastle, who are fresh off a home defeat to Hull. The Magpies are vulnerable in defence and are inconsistent in midfield. Ross Barkley has already showed that he's comfortable playing against anyone, and his aggressive runs should be difficult for Newcastle to contain.
He will continue to succeed in an Everton team that is perfectly suited for his talents. The comparisons to Wayne Rooney will continue apace, but Barkley is his own player. If Roberto Martinez gives him the freedom he thrives on, Newcastle will be in for a very long afternoon.
Snapping him up to start in your fantasy side in Week 6 would be an excellent decision.
