Dzsenifer Marozsan, Germany
Germany is currently ranked as the No. 2 team in women's football at the moment (behind the United States) and are a definite danger side to watch in the tournament this year.
The one woman to keep an eye on is Dzsenifer Marozsan, who at just 20 years of age, is a genuine player for the future in the national team.
Despite only making nine appearances for the senior side, Marozsan has already netted five goals, and looks on course to score plenty more in Portugal—especially if she can translate her national junior success (53 goals in 62 appearances) into the senior national team here.
Alex Morgan, United States
Alex Morgan simply has to get a mention here for her goal-scoring prowess—something that we all know to be very true for the talented 23-year-old.
Morgan finished with 28 goals and 21 assists in 2012—just the second time an American has posted those type of numbers in a calendar year—and showed at the 2012 London Olympics that she is a dangerous player to watch our for in international tournaments.
With plenty of talent and creativity around her, as well as within her, Morgan has a definite chance of finishing as the tournament's top goal-scorer.
Abby Wambach, United States
Having said all of those things about Morgan, the same must also be said for Abby Wambach—Morgan's striker partner and a successful footballer of her own accord.
Wambach was voted as the best female player in the world last year, and by a considerable margin too, as her ability to simply get at defenders and put herself in good goal-scoring opportunities make her a very dangerous threat to watch in Portugal.
With 154 international goals in 201 caps, it's fairly understandable why.
Who do you think will finish as the tournament's top goal-scorer?
