Mr. Olympia 2012: Why Phil Heath Will Repeat
Phil Heath won his first Mr. Olympia last year, taking home the top prize in the 2011 contest.
By winning, he took home $250,000 and an automatic spot in this year's competition.
Heath's win has propelled him to the top of the bodybuilding world. At 32, he's poised for a long career.
Will Heath take home the title for a second year in a row? We think so. Here's why:
For one, Heath is the best bodybuilder in the world. He has some of the best arms in the business, along with top chest, back, legs, and shoulders.
Additionally, Heath has gotten rid of his previous inconsistencies in his training routine, and is going as hard as ever.
He is also an incredible athlete. He played guard for the University of Denver's basketball team. as well as finished second in this competition in 2010, as well as fifth in 2009. He knows how to compete in high pressure situations, like the one he'll be facing at Mr. Olympia.
The competition is good, with Kai Greene and Dennis Wolf being some of the top contenders. But no one is as shredded as Heath. Further, the IFBB Pro Olympia Qualification Series has weeded out the pretenders and made this one of the better fields in recent years. The competition is the who's-who's of bodybuilders.
All of which will make a Heath win more impressive. The best shine against the best, and Heath will do just that.
He's the best bodybuilder in the world and he will show exactly why when he wins the 2012 Mr. Olympia
