Prince William Stopped by 13-Year-Old Keeper in Penalty Shootout (Video)
Sorry, nothing scandalous here. Just an Englishman missing a few more penalties.
OK, so the Englishman in question just happens to be a member of the royal family. The be exact, we're talking about Prince William, son of Diana and second in line of succession to the throne of England.
No biggie, but the keeper in question was a 13-year-old kid in the Solomon Islands.

But let's give the Prince a break, shall we? He and his lovely wife are going through some…erm…stuff right now, what with those pictures leaking out. Plus, it's really hard to play football in a suit.
The suit? The Prince was all dressed up because he was visiting the Soloman Islands to work with the Go Play initiative, which, according to The Guardian, "educate(s) youngsters about issues like gender equality."
So, then, it was all for charity. That changes things, right?
And anyway, what kind of Prince would he look like if he showed up a 13-year-old kid? For us, the Prince did everything right (except for being an Aston Villa fan, that is).
Here's part of the report from Metro:
"Clearly lacking confidence—just as England do in shootouts—William warned onlookers his efforts ‘could go anywhere’.
The 30-year-old stepped up to slot his first of three penalties in the bottom right corner but then missed the following two with 13-year-old local Philemon Fatai saving both, before joking ‘here we go again’.
The youngster, beaming in his glory, said afterwards: ‘He's good - but not as good as me.’
"
The report was referring, of course, to England's long history of failure in penalty shootouts. If you don't know all about it, the Daily Mail has a primer here.
Clearly, the Prince is in good (or bad?) company.
