Andrew Hall: Former Stoke City Player Pleads Guilty to Murdering Girlfriend
Former Stoke City academy player Andrew Hall pleaded guilty to murdering his 15-year-old girlfriend, according to BBC News.
The report states Hall confessed to stabbing Megan-Leigh Peat several times leading to her death back in June. Hall, who's 18 and had a promising future in football, was treated for hand injuries after the brutal attack.
It all happened at the house of a mutual friend in the early morning of June 9, per the BBC story. Hall was released from his spot with Stoke City after last season.

Those career ambitions are clearly now the least of his worries, as he faces a life sentence with a minimum term of 10 years. He had showcased a lot of raw talent playing for the Potters' under-18 squad and was on track to get a professional contract.
Details surrounding the case remain limited beyond the unimaginable ones of Peat's death. Further information such as motive and what happened leading up to the crime aren't included in the report following the plea.
All that's been released by the BBC is that Peat was found with stab wounds all over her body and eventually died from blood loss. Hall was forced to remain in the hospital for days afterward due to the severity of his own injuries from the murder.
It's a stunning crime that will probably never be fully understood by the general public. Hall had a bright future in football but let it all slip away. More importantly, a life was lost way too soon.
