Cristiano Ronaldo Hints at Clash with Real Madrid After Win vs. Grenada

Cristiano Ronaldo scored two more goals on Sunday against Grenada, but they were of the bittersweet variety. 

Ronaldo, who didn't celebrate after his finishes, revealed that the relationship between himself and Real Madrid is far from a steady one (via Sky Sports):

"

Speaking to reporters after the match, Ronaldo explained he was feeling down and that it was due to a 'professional' rather than 'personal' issue.

"I don't celebrate goals when I am feeling sad and that's the case today," said Ronaldo.

"The people who work here know why and I won't say any more than that."

What It Means

As it stands now, this just further confirms the fact that Ronaldo loves drama.

CR7 is without a doubt one of the best footballers any of us will ever get the chance to see, but his need for attention can be downright ridiculous.

Sure, some of the relationships with his teammates or coaches might be rocky, or maybe he got into some type of argument before the match, but when you're the best player on one of the top clubs in the world getting paid ridiculous amounts, you shouldn't be "sad."

Until more information is known, I wouldn't put too much stock into this. Don't be surprised if whatever caused this riff blows over.

What's Next?

Ronaldo, who sat out the second half of Sunday's game with an "injury," hopes to be good to go when Portugal takes on Luxembourg and Azerbaijan on September 7 and 11, respectively. 

From a Real Madrid perspective, Los Blancos probably shouldn't be concerned about a transfer request at this point. It seems unlikely that whatever event caused Ronaldo's unhappiness, which happened so quickly, would cause him to want out of town just like that. 

For now, expect things to continue as normal.
