Thunders vs. Spurs Video: Watch Magical Double Flop from Ginobili and Harden
This is getting ridiculous, folks.
Flopping and the art of acting in basketball took a rare and brilliant turn in Sunday's game one semifinal between the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder.
The play came in the fourth quarter of a tightly-fought game. With five minutes and change to play, Manu Ginobili and James Harden came together in one of the most deplorable acts in all of sport.
Okay, maybe it wasn't all that horrible, but it was pretty damn close.
The two stars hit the floor like two snipers took aim and fired. Please take note, because this is one of the most rare sights in all of sport.
Forget hitting for the cycle, a quadruple-double or a perfect game. Harden and Ginobili bring us the majesty that is the double flop.
It's at this point that I would like to say I have had just about enough of flopping. Something must be done, and quickly.
The only way for these basketballers to learn is to punish them for every single egregious use of the Vlade Divac special.
Possible punishments could be:
- Having to wash Stan Van Gundy's undershirts.
- Having to listen to an hour of Jeff Van Gundy speak.
- Watching Metta World Peace play basketball.
These are the only ways that we will eradicate the most harmful blight on society: the flop.
