Norwegian Tippeligaen: Roundup of the Weekend's Games in Norway's Premier League
While the curtain has now closed on most of the leagues in Europe, there is still football to be found in the north of the continent.
This weekend the teams in the Norwegian Tippeligaen played their tenth round of games. Here is a summary of all the goals and results from the weekend's matches.
Strømsgodset seized their chance to extend their lead on Saturday by subjecting Fredrikstad to their fourth loss in five games.

After two first half goals courtesy of Peter Kovács and Mohammad Abu, it looked like the points were in the bag for Strømsgodset. However, Fredrikstad came out for the second half with renewed vigor and managed to grab one back courtesy of an Alexander Aas own goal.
Fredrikstad's hopes of a comeback seemed dashed by a second from Abu in the 79th minute. However, Jorgen Horn reignited these hopes by responding almost immediately to make it 3-2. In the end, it was little more than a consolation.
In Saturday's other game, a second half header from Mats Kaland was enough to see Hønefoss take victory at home against Vålerenga. The away side's chances were not helped by a sending off for defender Simon Larsen, and once Hønefoss took the lead there was no way back for Vålerenga.
Current champions Molde put the speculation of Ole Gunnar Solskjær leaving the club to the backs of their minds and won their sixth game on the spin against Sandnes Ulf.
After a goalmouth scramble, American Joshua Gatt managed to get the ball in the net to put them ahead. Jo Inge Berget pounced on a mistake from Edier Frejd to give Solskjær's team the win and keep them within a point of the top spot.
Haugesund kept up their good recent form with a predictable victory of struggling Stabæk. A brace from Alexander Søderlund secured the win to take them third in the league. Søderlund drilled a low free kick into the net in the 37th minute and bundled the ball home in the 65th to put the game beyond doubt.
For Stabæk this was another nail in the coffin, with their losing run now spanning eight games. The team has earned just one point so far this season, and barring a dramatic turnaround relegation seems inevitable.
Tromsø provided the biggest win of the weekend, dominating Viking to run away with a 5-1 win. Remi Johansen, Magnus Andersen, Miika Koppinen, Steffen Nystrom and on loan Zdenek Ondrášek were all on target for the home team before Viking snatched a late consolation through Yann De Lanlay.
The win puts Tromsø fourth going into a massive game with Molde this Thursday.
With all their rivals winning, the pressure was on Rosenborg to keep up with the pace and take victory at home over Odd Grenland.
Unfortunately for them, they were unable to break the stalemate and the game ended goalless. This puts Rosenborg five points behind Strømsgodset and makes next Monday's game against the leaders vital if they want to add to their 22 league titles.
Elsewhere, Lillestrøm recorded a much needed win over Sogndal to put some distance between them and the relegation zone. A last minute goal from Bjorn Sigurðarson snatched all three points and put the team four points above the drop.
Sigurðarson's goal will heighten the interest in the striker. This weekend both Everton and Wolves were linked with a £4 million move for the 21-year-old.
His winner made it 11 goals in just 10 games and it seems a matter of time before he is plying his trade at another club.
The final game of the weekend saw Aalesund pick up a routine 2-0 victory over visitors Brann. Costa Rican Michael Barrantes and Estonian Sander Post scored the goals while Brann's chances were not helped by a red card for Rudolph Austin.
