Luck, RGIII and Weeden: 3 NFL Rookies Under the Biggest Spotlight in Camps
As we move towards NFL training camps, several teams are set to turn their franchises over to rookie quarterbacks. Those players will have their every move dissected and scrutinized as they attempt to earn the trust of their teams.
Here are the three rookies who will be under the biggest spotlight as we approach training camp. Not surprisingly, they are all quarterbacks.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Andrew Luck is quite possibly the best, most sought-after prospect in more than a decade. While fans won't grumble loudly if he struggles as a rookie, Luck will probably have his every move dissected and will have to live up to unreasonable expectations.
The Stanford product is replacing Peyton Manning, who was a four-time MVP while playing in the Circle City. Fans are expecting Luck to duplicate that success, but he isn't Manning. He will have a different learning curve, and the fans shouldn't expect him to be a Pro Bowler from his first day in the NFL. This is a process that will take time.
The No. 1 pick from the 2012 draft will obviously be the most closely watched rookie in this year's NFL camps. We've been hearing about him for almost two years now. When he steps on the field he will be heavily scrutinized.
Robert Griffin III, Washington Redskins
The Washington Redskins surrendered three first-round picks and a second-rounder to move up for the right to take Griffin and make him their franchise quarterback. If he fails to fill that role it could set the team back a decade. No pressure, kid.
Like Luck, Griffin is under an immense amount of pressure to not only perform immediately, but also to live up to long-term expectations. He is expected to be a dynamic play-maker from day one in the league and his mistakes will be heavily scrutinized.
Expect daily reports on his failures and successes during training camp as the world focuses in on Griffin and Luck and whether or not they are living up to expectations.
Brandon Weeden, Cleveland Browns
The Browns surprised everyone when they selected Weeden with the 22nd pick in the 2012 draft. The 28-year-old quarterback will be expected to step in and start right away, replacing Colt McCoy who has had the job for the past two seasons.
Weeden will be given every opportunity to win the job, but already his movements have been heavily scrutinized. At Oklahoma State, he took snaps almost exclusively from the shotgun, and the transition to taking snaps under center has been rocky thus far.
Weeden and running back Trent Richardson will be expected to turn around a Browns offense that has been dreadful over the past few seasons. His progress along the way will be heavily scrutinized.
