Orlando Magic Reportedly Interviewing Adonal Foyle for GM Position
Former NBA center and current Magic front office executive Adonal Foyle has reportedly interviewed for the non-vacant position of Orlando Magic GM.
Update: Wednesday, May 9 at 6:50 p.m. ET
Adonal Foyle is letting it be known that these rumors are not true. He tweeted the following message:
"Let me be abundantly clear I have never been interviewed for a GM job with the Orlando Magic.
— Adonal Foyle (@afoyle3131) May 9, 2012"
RealGM.com's Jarrod N. Rudolph tweeted out the news.
"Sources say Orlando Magic have interviewed Adonal Foyle, Director of Player Development, for General Manager position.

This is just the latest piece of evidence to suggest that the Orlando Magic are going to replace Otis Smith as the team's general manager.
Foyle, 37, is a retired player and former teammate of free-agent-to-be, Dwight Howard.
It's easy to construe this as a move designed to make Howard comfortable and keep him in Orlando.
Smith was named the team's co-general manager during the 2005-06 season, and dropped the "co" from his title the following year.
Under Smith's reign as GM, the team made the 2009 NBA Finals where they fell to the Los Angeles Lakers.
While he still has the GM position, this news should not be a surprise. It has been clear that change was coming to Orlando, and that it was likely going to come in the form of a new GM and/or coach.
John Denton of OrlandoMagic.com relayed this quote from Magic guard J.J. Redick.
"#Magic JJ Redick: "I've been told there will be clarity with management in the next few weeks." Obviously referring to SVG and Otis Smith.

The Magic were eliminated from the playoffs in the first round by the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday, and they now embark and what is sure to be an eventful offseason.
