EPL: The Biggest Winners and Losers After Saturday's Premier League Action
All the results are in, and it's time to find out who the biggest winners and losers are after today's Premier League football.
It's been a day of goals and a good day for those at the foot of the table.
QPR, Wigan and Bolton all recorded much-needed wins, but Wolves sank to another loss.
Arsenal fans will be extremely disappointed with their team's performance against QPR, but still have a five-point buffer over fifth-place Chelsea.
We saw a six-goal thriller between Manchester City and Sunderland that may play a huge part in the destination of the trophy.
Elsewhere, there were wins for Chelsea, Everton and Fulham, but who made the list this week?
Agree with my picks? Think I left someone out? Comment below.
Biggest Winner: Stiliyan Petrov's Reception at Villa Park
1 of 4We start of the list with an unconventional choice, but the reception that Stiliyan Petrov received today at Villa Park was a truly heartwarming moment.
The football world was shocked yesterday when the Bulgarian broke the news that he was suffering from acute leukaemia.
Before the game Chelsea players wore t-shirts with the message "our thoughts are with you" on the front, with Petrov's name and number on the back.
Meanwhile, the Villa players wore shirts with "Support Stan" written on them.
Then in the 19th minute, chosen to match Petrov's shirt number, the crowd and benches erupted in applause for the club captain, who was clearly emotional seated with his family in the director's box.
The applause was observed by both sets of supporters and was a great moment to see.
2nd Biggest Winner: Bolton
2 of 4In today's relegation six-pointer, it was the Trotters who came out on top.
For large periods of the game Bolton were the inferior side, but it is points that count and they came away from Molineux with all three.
A penalty from Martin Petrov and two goal in four minutes from Marcos Alonso and Kevin Davies sealed the win for Owen Coyle's men.
The result puts Bolton's destiny in their own hands, one point ahead of the relegation zone with a game in hand.
Next week's games against Fulham and Newcastle are of vital importance, but Bolton go into them in good form. With three leagues' wins on the spin, Bolton could be dragging themselves to safety.
Biggest Loser: Wolves
3 of 4The writing's definitely on the wall for Wolves now.
Six points from safety and blowing three points which they deserved to get, it looks like we'll be watching Championship football at Molineux next season.
Added to this was the ugly scene provided by Roger Johnson and Wayne Hennessey.
The two confronted each other after a Bolton chance and had to be separated by Michael Kightly and the referee.
The club is currently in a mess, and it will take a miracle to keep them up.
2nd Biggest Loser: Manchester City
4 of 4Is this the day that the blue half of Manchester lost the Premier League title?
On the face of it, City should be happy that they managed to steal a point against a Sunderland team that held a two-goal advantage with just five minutes remaining.
Goals from Mario Balotelli and Aleksandar Kolarov saved a point for the Blues, but a Manchester United win at Blackburn on Monday will mean a five-point gap at the top of the table.
City will now be looking for a flawless end to the season, but it may be too little, too late.
