Liverpool FC: Would You Like One Point or Three?
The once famous sign "This is Anfield" would strike fear into the hearts of the opposition before they even took to the field. A cauldron of noise would have the opposition quaking in their boots.
Sadly, now the opponents look upon the famous white bold words and laugh. The truth of the matter is that teams no longer fear Anfield—and why would they?
The current Liverpool team under the guidance of Kenny Dalglish have continuously gifted points to the away team. Far too many draws are now, unfortunately, turning into losses, and the team (bar a few exceptions) are spineless and lack character.

After spending nearly 100 million pounds to get the team in his image, Liverpool are woefully short in the attacking department. To put a stat to you, Liverpool's top goalscorer is Luis Suarez with seven goals! Steven Gerrard scored three goals in one game against Everton.
Liverpool have an average of 1.29 goals at home. What is causing this attacking deficiency?
Simple—no runners from deep, not enough in the box. Raul Meireles under Kenny was the perfect midfielder for busting his gut to get into box and pick up some scraps around the area. Now we have Gerrard, Spearing and Henderson playing deep-possession-oriented football.
Opposition teams come to Anfield to sit deep, allowing Liverpool the ball. This has led to impressive possession statistics—54.77% on average per game—but the ball is very much bogged down in the middle of the field.
This is what Kenny wants from his team? This is not the Liverpool philosophy of pass-and-move; this is pass sideways until an opportunity presents itself.
Kenny was supposed to be the man to bring back the Liverpool ways, but besides telling the fans want they want to hear, he has failed miserably with the team that takes the field every week.
