Under Armour All-American Game 2012: Which Top Recruits Is Notre Dame Targeting?
Notre Dame has a very, very solid chance to have a top-10 recruiting class next month. Brian Kelly and his staff have shown they can recruit nationally and lure top talent to South Bend.
Tonight's Under Armour All-America Game 2012 will feature many of the nation's best players. Will Notre Dame be on any of their minds? Can the Irish land any of them?
Here are a few prospects the Irish are targeting.
Ifeadi Odenigbo, OLB/DE
1 of 3Odenigbo is not announcing tonight but he could have his mind made up by the end of the weekend. The explosive pass-rusher stands 6'4", 220 pounds and is an athletic marvel.
The final three schools are Notre Dame, Stanford and Northwestern. The Cardinal will be hard to beat, but don't count out the Irish just yet as their tradition and academics appeal to Odenigbo.
Josh Garnett, OL
2 of 3Garnett is a 6'5", 275-pound OL that figures to be an OG in college. He could play OT in a pinch, but I think he flashes NFL potential as a guard and I think he should have a better college career than James Wilson did at Florida.
On the recruiting front, Garnett looks to be down to Stanford, Notre Dame and Michigan. I can see him signing with all three, as each school is on his case pretty hard.
Neson Agholor, ATH
3 of 3Agholor may be the top prize left for the Irish as he's viewed by many as the most athletically gifted player in the country. It's realistic to think the 6'1", 180-pounder could play WR, FS, CB, RB or return specialist in college.
Notre Dame looks good right now in the Agholor sweepstakes, but so does Florida and trips to USC and Florida State are coming up as well.
This race could come down to the wire and the Irish will be in it until the end.
