WWE News: Could This Be the New General Manager of RAW?

For the past two years, WWE fans have been looking for a proper authority figure for RAW.

Several names have been pitched by the IWC, yet this one has managed to escape them. It could be due to his lack of wrestling presence or simply because the average fan doesn't know that he is an avid wrestling fan.

Either way, it turns out that Saved by the Bell's Dennis Haskins aka Mr. Belding, is a huge wrestling fan and is petitioning to become the next RAW GM.

Haskins revealed that he has a petition making the rounds on Twitter to try and convince WWE to hire him for the on screen role. Haskins has previously appeared on Zack Ryder’s YouTube show and had held talks with the WWE about doing a one-off gig hosting RAW but it never came off. There are currently less than 1,000 signatures on the petition but Haskins does have support from current WWE SuperStars like CM Punk, The Miz and Zack Ryder.

Judging by the content of the article, it doesn't appear that Haskins is looking to be a "Special Guest GM," it seems he wants to be the real deal. Honestly, after the initial pop wears off I couldn't imagine seeing him on RAW weekly as an authority figure.

Had Haskins played in a more serious role, or if his Belding character wasn't so goofy, maybe then he would get my vote. Chances are even if the WWE does buy into this idea, it will have to be a one-off. That is unless Haskins really sells the character to the crowd.
