Four teams are still standing in the 2023 Big 12 men's basketball tournament.
Only two of them opened this event as a top-four seed.
While top-seeded Kansas and second-seeded Texas took care of business in the quarterfinals, fourth-seeded Baylor fell to fifth-seeded Iowa State, while sixth-seeded TCU ousted third-seeded Kansas State.
This quartet will tussle on Friday night with the winners then locking horns in Saturday's championship. After laying out the scheduling information, we'll dive into (and predict) the two games on the Friday docket.

Kansas vs. Iowa State
2 of 3
The Jayhawks and Cyclones have been the most successful schools at this tournament in recent years. And one of them is about to be championship-bound—they just has to knock off the other one first.
The home team held serve in each regular-season matchup, though Iowa State had the more convincing victory. Kansas squeaked out a two-point win in mid-January, while Iowa State rolled to a 15-point triumph a few weeks later.
Each squad holds a top-10 defense, per KenPom, but Kansas offense has been far more efficient than Iowa State's. Having said that, though, the Cyclones just had two of their better offensive outings of the year, putting up a combined 151 points on 51.4 percent shooting in back-to-back wins over the Baylor Bears.
If Iowa State stays connected and makes enough outside shots to pull Kansas' defenders away from the basket, this could get really interesting. However, it's more likely the Cyclones will be doomed by either their inconsistent offense or the Jayhawks' talent advantage.
Prediction: Kansas 65, Iowa State 60
Texas vs. TCU
3 of 3
The Longhorns and Horned Frogs took different paths to escape the quarterfinals.
Texas opted for a defensive clinic in its 60-47 win over Oklahoma State. The Longhorns shot 37.3 percent from the field, tallied more turnovers (13) than assists (nine) and still won by double-digits—that's how good the defense played. Oklahoma State shot a miserable 26.9 percent overall and 14.3 percent from three.
TCU, meanwhile, took down Kansas State 80-67 with a barrage of threes and even more forced turnovers. The Horned Frogs hit 11 of their 25 long-range looks (44 percent) while forcing the Wildcats into 20 turnovers.
TCU and Texas split the regular-season series with the two games being decided by a total of six points. This feels like it will be another nail-biter, and our crystal ball sees the Horned Frogs getting enough timely shots to advance.
Prediction: TCU 73, Texas 70
