Bowl Games Schedule 2022-23: Dates, Times and Best Potential CFP Matchups
The most wonderful time of the year is almost here.
As soon as conference championship games are decided this weekend, executives and administrators will be busy finalizing which programs are headed to bowl games in 2022.
Most notably, the College Football Playoff will settle a Top Four—and, by extension, the national semifinals.
From there, the CFP selection committee will finalize the four remaining New Year's Six pairings as the other 35 bowls settle their matchups.
Heading into championship week, most of the upcoming bowl showdowns are either undetermined or not yet announced. But as we're dreaming about the best possible CFP games, we have dates, times and TV coverage for the always-entertaining postseason slate.

Best Potential CFP Games
3 of 3
The best potential CFP matchups are also straightforward.
Top-ranked Georgia (12-0) has an elite defense, and USC (11-1)—likely set for a rise to fourth in the next CFP rankings—boasts one of the nation's most efficient offenses. That would be a fascinating clash of strengths.
The other semifinal would pit Michigan (12-0) opposite TCU (12-0) in a battle of unbeatens. Michigan, yes, shared a national title with Nebraska in 1997. But the Wolverines last won an outright championship in 1948, while TCU's most recent crown was in 1938.
If all four programs win their respective conference title, those will likely be the matchups anyway. But the contrast of strengths and historical comparison add a nice touch to the hypothetical of both contests.
Otherwise, the most intriguing contest would be UGA taking on a talent-filled Ohio State (11-1) roster. After falling to Michigan in Week 13, though, OSU needs a loss from either TCU or USC to have an argument.
