Alamo Bowl: Watch Highlights from the Craziest, Highest-Scoring Bowl Game Ever
Just when you thought you've seen it all from Heisman winner quarterback Robert Griffin, he gives you a performance against Washington that you'll never forget. The Alamo Bowl was the most exciting bowl game of the year, as it finished with a score of 67-56 Baylor victorious.
Although the Washington Huskies were putting on a show as well, everybody was rooting for Robert Griffin and couldn't wait to see what he'd do next. Many believe that he'll forgo his senior season and enter the NFL draft a year early. If this happens to be the case, he left us with some great memories and a game that many will never forget.
For those of you that missed the bowl game and ended up waking up to a ridiculous score or for those that just want to see the highlights again; this slideshow is for you.
Before the Game
1 of 8Before we get started with all of the highlights, here are a few words from the fans. They give their thoughts on the teams and of course the Heisman winning quarterback.
Who knew they would be attending one of the most exciting bowl games of all-time.
Griffin Proves He's More Than Just a QB
2 of 8Robert Griffin isn't just a quarterback that can throw and run the football. He can also run with the defense and set key blocks for his teammates. You have to love a quarterback who isn't afraid to do the dirty work.
There aren't too many quarterbacks who will do what the Heisman winner did here.
Let's not also forget that running back Terrance Ganaway was the player of the game with 200 rushing yards and five touchdowns.
RG3 Gives Us Another Heisman Moment
3 of 8After three previous combined touchdowns in the first quarter, Griffin makes it four with a 24 yard run. I counted a total of five missed tackles, but that's just a great combination of pure strength and speed. The guy will simply not be denied.
If the Heisman was still up for grabs through the bowl season, he would have won it with this run alone.
There Was Another Quarterback in This Game
4 of 8This 15 yard touchdown run by Washington quarterback Keith Price gave the Huskies their first lead of the game. It was a great pump fake to get the defender in the air, but Price was already a good three yards past the line of scrimmage.
Stay disciplined, kids.
Here That Video Is Again
5 of 8Here that touchdown is again but this time it's from the field point of view. Still a great play but watch as Price goes to the sideline behind the bench. He does the Superman celebration. Was he paying homage to Cam Newton or taking a shot at Griffin and his Superman socks?
You be the judge.
Price Does It Again
6 of 8This was the first score of the fourth quarter and once again Price runs it in for the score. This time it was an eight yard touchdown that have the Huskies the short lead.
Watch how the sophomore stretches to break the plain. Extra efforts like this really win a coach over and earn you more playing time.
Will RG3 Go Pro?
7 of 8Here's the interview with Robert Griffin after the high-scoring game. Many expect him to go on to the NFL but there is a little bit of a feeling that he may consider coming back. He just seems like that type of kid that would return just for the school.
Watch the video and see if you can read between any of the lines and try to determine if he's already made his mind up.
Anything I Missed?
8 of 8If there's anything I missed in this slideshow, ESPN has got you covered. This is a game that will be played over and over. Not just because it may have been Robert Griffins last game, but it was an offensive lovers dream and didn't disappoint at all.
It's going to take a lot from these other bowl matchups to top this game as the best of the bowl season.
