Michael Jordan Engaged: Air Jordan Proves He's Still Clutch When It Counts
Michael Jordan was known for his clutch moments in the NBA, but it turns out that's not all "Air Jordan" is good at.
He's also got some pretty good timing, and I dare say, a taste for romanticism.
News has come out that the former Bulls superstar and basketball legend has gotten engaged, via WCNC Charlotte:
"One of Charlotte’s most eligible bachelors is now engaged, NewsChannel 36 has learned.
Charlotte Bobcats majority owner and NBA legend Michael Jordan got engaged on Christmas, a Jordan spokeswoman first confirmed to WCNC Thursday afternoon.
"
First off, congratulations to Jordan, as his wife-to-be model Yvette Prieto is a beautiful woman.
I do want to point out one thing that many sports outlets aren't going to bring up though.
Now let's be really frank here. If you're Michael Jordan you can literally propose however and whenever you want.
The very fact that you are considered to be the best basketball player to ever walk the face of this earth gives you that privilege.
He could have literally had his personal assistant ask Prieto, and I can almost guarantee you she would say yes.
This is Michael Jordan we are talking about ladies and gentlemen. The man can do what he pleases.
I find it impressive that the report specifically says that he got engaged on Christmas, and as a fellow man I applaud him for that if it's true.
We all know that every girl everywhere dreams about the day of their wedding and every little moment leading up to it, including the proposal.
I don't know the details, but who wouldn't enjoy the romanticism of being proposed to on Christmas?
Jordan had to have planned it out as a special Christmas gift for his now-fiance, and that's a boss move.
Sure, it's not Game 5 against the Cavaliers in the 1989 playoffs, but once again, Jordan came up clutch when it mattered.
