Champs Sports Bowl: Notre Dame Is No Match for Florida State's Defense

I hope you like your bowl games ugly, because what will be a Florida State win comes with two shaky offenses doing battle. 

Beggars can't be chooser this time of year, and we will take out college football entertainment where we can get it. And there is something inherently awesome about two storied programs meeting on the field of battle. 

However, when Florida State and Notre Dame meet in the Champs Sports Bowl Thursday evening, it won't be with the best rosters they have ever had. 

Notre Dame continues to be plagued by questions at the quarterback position which doesn't bode well as they face one of the best defenses in the nation. 

Florida State is fairly proud of that defense considering it has been their one saving grace. The Seminoles have run had many games featuring a stagnant offense. 

This game looks to be an ugly affair that features two teams that will struggle to consistently drive the ball down the field. The team that I am banking on having far more issues is Notre Dame. 

It's easy to knock Florida State. Their promising season comes down to a bowl game they would not have envisioned at the beginning of the season, but their defense is an underrated machine. 

The Seminoles are a tough nut to crack and Notre Dame is going to either throw a shaky Tommy Rees out there or an inexperienced Andrew Hendrix. 

Hendrix no doubt has the promise of a star in the making, but the Seminoles have the defense that rattle even the most seasoned of arms. 

Notre Dame may have a defense of their own that is worth adulation, but the issues at quarterback will win the day. 

Florida State is primed to take this bowl game between two proud and storied programs.
