There is so much history to be found within this organization, and it's fun to see it all together in one place.
From the departure of Patrick Ewing till the arrival of Jalen Brunson, there weren't a lot of great seasons or memories for the Knicks, but Carmelo Anthony did give the fans a brief glimmer of hope in the 2010s.
New York honoring him and so many others who worked their way into the history of the organization is adding a lot to the parade.
The parade is well underway now, and several legends and current stars are being showered with well-deserved praise.

It's a near inevitability of NBA championship parades. And in this case, it feels appropriate that it's Jalen Brunson who has ditched the float for the opportunity to actually be on the ground and among the fans.
Walt Frazier is an indelible part of this organization. He won two championships in 1970 and 1973. Then, he cheerfully suffered through one of the darkest periods in Knicks history post-Patrick Ewing, called 100s of games and now gets to celebrate this magical run in a parade.
The start of the parade was delayed a bit, but the floats are starting to roll now. And they're going to be surrounded by what could be a record-setting crowd.

The players are rightfully and understandably getting the bulk of the credit, but the hire of Mike Brown was crucial. His offense was more varied than previous versions. He empowered his reserves. And his demeanor, as seen here, seems easy to be around.
And the credit doesn't even stop there. Brown's shirt references an inspiring pre-playoff speech from owner James Dolan, who fired up his team and asked it to lock in for just 10 weeks to become legends.
The players did exactly that, and they were rewarded with legendary status.
This isn't entirely about the parade, but Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart's experience with the New York Yankees on Wednesday was just another reminder of what these players and this team will mean to the city.
Everyone on that roster is stamped as a New York legend now.
Whatever emotional support Sonny brought Mikal Bridges throughout this playoff run was worth it. He's earned his time at the parade!
