The Cal offense… is playing defensive backs at running backs. Had a nice first half with gadgetry and faster moving plays, but after adjusting to the lack of run game they were shut down. A fairly limited unit until they get some guys back.

Cal defense has conceded 40+ points against all their top 25 foes. A rebuilt unit with clear growing pains isn’t ready for elite competition. A blitzing team that can’t generate pressure, makes fundamental mistakes, and averages the most penalties of any unit in college football.
