LeBron James' Kicks and the Top 10 Signature Shoes for This NBA Season

Jeff ChaseDec 22, 2011

One of the best parts of the NBA season getting underway is the fresh kicks that will be hitting the scene this basketball season. While brands offer shoes galore, none top those that our favorite players sport on the court.

There are a lot of great shoes coming out this year and as usual, they will be releasing different colors throughout the NBA season.

While the shoes may not make us play like our favorite athletes, it is still fun to wear the same stuff that they are wearing on the courts.

These signature kicks top the best of the best that our favorite athletes have to offer this season.

10. Under Armor Micro G Bloodline (Brandon Jennings)

1 of 10

Under Armor has released their second edition of Brandon Jennings' signature shoes. Jennings is the star point guard for the Milwaukee Bucks, and he is the face of Under Armor basketball.

These come in at No. 10 because they are pretty bland. Low tops are alright, but they don't compare to the classic look that any high top shoe gives off. There also isn't very much flash to the shoes, but fans of Jennings will certainly be happy with this model.

9. Jordan Fly Wade 2

2 of 10

The Fly Wade 2s are the second signature shoe that Dwyane Wade has had under the Jordan shoe line. These ones are a lot less flashy than last year's model, and they seem kind of bland.

They seem to have some nice breathable areas, but the lack of things going on is kind of a step away from what Jordan typically does with their shoes.

These Wades are likely the Jordan brand's answer to Adidas and their lighter line. Still, many likely expected much more from Wade, Jordan and crew.

8. Jordan Melo M8

3 of 10

The eighth version of Carmelo Anthony's signature shoe from the Jordan brand is not his best, but it also isn't his worst.

Neither Anthony's nor Wade's shoes didn't exceed expectations, but both shoes are a fine addition to their lines.

This model is just a little too "blocky"-looking, but they will look better when not in full-out patent.

7. Adidas Dwight Howard Adipower

4 of 10

Well, they say big men don't sell shoes. Dwight Howard could put an end to that assumption, as his new shoes are very clean and unique.

They have a 12 imprinted on the upper, and of course it has the classic three stripes from Adidas. It will be a tough sell, but Howard may have some of the most appealing shoes that have ever been released with a big man's name on it.

6. Nike KD IV

5 of 10

Low-top shoes are making a big statement this season. The new Kevin Durant shoes from Nike are low-tops with a strap that comes from the heal to the mid-foot.

Durant's shoes are very flashy in color, but many will likely be intrigued to check out the unique design. Durant is one of the most electrifying players in the game, and his new signature shoes suit him well.

5. John Wall Reebok Zig Encore

6 of 10

This will be the Washington Wizards star point guard John Wall's second year in the league, and he will be coming in with his second shoe from Reebok.

The Zig Encore pretty Much sums up what it is trying to say, which is that Wall is going to come back this season just as big as he did last year.

Despite losing out on the rookie of the year award to Los Angeles Clippers power forward Blake Griffin, Wall is still on the move to becoming one of the next elite point guards of the NBA.

These shoes don't depart much from last year's model, but they are a clean look with the sweet Zig bottoms.

4. Adidas Adizero Rose 2

7 of 10

The shoe of choice of the reigning MVP, Derrick Rose.

The Chicago Bulls' All-Star point guard is coming off of his best season, so there is no reason why Adidas wouldn't up the caliber of his new signature shoe.

The shoes are ridiculously light, as comes the name "Adizero."

The shoes are slick, especially the model that reps his hometown Bulls. While using minimal materials, the shoes bolster a lot of style.

As Rose is becoming one of the most elite players in the game, his shoes are going to start to become some of the most popular both on and off the court.

3. Nike Kobe VII's

8 of 10

While Kobe Bryant hasn't done much to change his shoes over the past few years, this season he will be including a built-in ankle strap to his low-top line of Nike shoes.

Kobe has been rocking the low-tops for quite sometime now, but many people are skeptical as they don't want to roll their ankle.

At least it was done much better than the Jordan XX's.

With this design, Nike was able to stick with their classic Kobe style while adding a little something new to it. These will definitely be a popular shoe.

2. Jordan CP3.V

9 of 10

Chris Paul will be taking his talents to the Los Angeles Clippers this season, and he will be doing so in style.

Moving away from the block style of shoes he has sported over the last few seasons, Paul is seemingly going for a much more lighter, quicker shoe.

These shoes look real nice, but they have yet to have a release date on them. Paul did wear them in the preseason game against the Los Angeles Lakers, so many should hope they are coming soon.

Paul and the Jordan brand really made something nice with this iteration of CP3's line.

1. Nike LeBron James 9

10 of 10

Wow. That is all that can be said about these.

Whether you love or hate LeBron James, there is no denying that the Miami Heat star really brought it with his ninth shoe.

LeBron always comes out with shoes that are great for on and off the court, and once again, he has done a great job in bringing that vision to life.

These shoes have a lot of nice features, including a big tongue and a nice mix of leather and mesh for breath-ability along with durability.

Expect many more colors to come, as Nike usually goes crazy with the LeBron line.
