2011 Bowl Predictions: Slighted TCU Horned Frogs Will Expose BCS with Epic Win
The TCU Horned Frogs have felt passed over by the BCS for too many years, and after another snub, TCU will put on a national showcase to prove its worth and the BCS’ injustices.
They will use the Louisiana State Bulldogs as their sacrificial lamb in the Poinsettia Bowl at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California.
With TCU going 10-2, including a victory over the Boise State Broncos, the fact that the BCS relegated them to No. 18 in the nation shows the travesty that is the current system.
While the Coaches Poll and the AP Poll had TCU ranked higher than No. 18, the BCS computers insisted that the smaller school be taken out of contention for a real bowl placement.
All of the animosity and frustration over another snub will make the Horned Frogs play harder than they have ever played in their lives to prove the BCS was wrong again.
But as good as TCU is, they can’t take the Bulldogs lightly; they’re too good.
"It's been a fun ride for this whole football team and it's been great for everybody associated with this program. Surely, it feels great to win a championship and when we started camp, we knew we had the personnel to do so. We started off the season kind of rough, and everybody hung in there. It speaks about the character of our team as a whole because losing is a difficult thing to do.
"
As good as the ride has been for the Bulldogs, the Horned Frogs are going to beat them like a rented mule.
With TCU and many other small schools voicing their disapproval of how things are run by the BCS, all eyes will be on this game to see if TCU is better than they are given credit for.
If this game turns into a battle, then TCU was ranked correctly, but if TCU blows Louisiana State out of the water, it proves that the BCS hates the smaller schools.
Rise above hate BCS computers.
