2011 Bowl Predictions: Which Non-BCS Bowl Game Will Be the Biggest Letdown?
The college football bowl season has started off with a bang with two of the first three bowls coming down to the final minute.
Unfortunately not all of the bowls are going to be that exciting—Temple blew out Wyoming 37-15 in the very first game because the Owls are a great running team while the Cowboys have failed to stop the run all season.
Another bowl that you can almost guarantee will be a boring, blowout win will be the Capital One Bowl.

No. 20 Nebraska takes on No. 9 South Carolina but the Gamecocks have dealt with a number of injuries all season to stars like Marcus Lattimore and Alshon Jeffery, who broke his left hand against Clemson.
But none of that matters because of one player, Connor Shaw. He isn’t the greatest quarterback in the country or even his own conference but he is averaging 53 yards per game rushing. That’s going to spell disaster for Nebraska.
The Huskers have failed miserably at stopping mobile quarterbacks all season. They have given up at least 30 yards on the ground to every speedy Big Ten quarterback they’ve faced and all three of their losses are against those teams.
And Ohio State would’ve pulled the upset but Braxton Miller got injured late which allowed Nebraska to make a furious comeback.
South Carolina is averaging 198 yards on the ground per game and Brandon Wilds has been an excellent replacement for Lattimore, going for over 100 yards every time he has had 20 or more carries in a game. He is also a great threat in the passing game.
The Gamecocks have only had trouble against teams that pass the ball well like East Carolina, Georgia and Arkansas, and Taylor Martinez is an absolutely terrible passer.
This game should be all South Carolina from start to finish. With two other bowls happening at the same time, be sure to watch them over in the Capital One Bowl.
