BCS Bowl Predictions: The Best Storylines of All the BCS Bowls
The college football bowl season kicks off in less than a week. And while majority of the matchups will be great on the field, there are also quite a few games with intriguing storylines. Those make the games even more interesting to watch.
With coaching changes, scandals and players playing their last game, there are a lot of other reasons to watch the games, other than just the players on the field.
As we get closer to kickoff, here are the storylines for each BCS bowl game.
BCS Rose Bowl: Oregon vs. Wisconsin
The storyline for this game would be two very similar teams that have great offenses and fantastic running backs. It just depends on whether you prefer your offenses to be more physical or more of a finesse type. Which high-flying offense is better, the one from the Big Ten or Pac-12?
Both the Ducks and the Badgers score a ton of points and LaMichael James and Montee Ball are two of the top backs in the country.
Expect oodles of points to be scored and the team probably with the ball last to win the game.
BCS Fiesta Bowl: Stanford vs. Oklahoma State
You could say the storyline to this game should be, do any of these teams really deserve a shot at the national championship? But at the end of the day it really doesn't matter because there's no chance of that happening.
This is the game that the most scouts are going to be at because it features the most potential NFL talent. (Besides the national championship of course) You have Andrew Luck and his offensive lineman, to Justin Blackmon and Levy Adcock.
These teams are here for a reason and that's because they are loaded on both sides of the ball with players that will be playing on Sundays.
BCS Sugar Bowl: Michigan vs. Virginia Tech
The storyline for this game should be, just provide us with a great matchup that includes fantastic football and possibly a last second finish. That's because very few people believe that either one of these teams should be included in a BCS bowl.
Virginia Tech for sure as they were destroyed twice by Clemson.
There are great players on both teams and hopefully they step up and play to their potential.
BCS Orange Bowl: West Virginia vs. Clemson
Another game that could very well be a shootout, but both teams have shown us two sides all year. Clemson was a team that was clicking on all cylinders but lost three of their last five games. West Virginia competed with LSU for most of the game but lost to teams like Syracuse and Louisville.
If the good teams show up, this will be a fantastic game. If not, it could be sloppy.
BCS National Championship: Alabama vs. LSU
Many fans don't agree with the matchup for many reasons, but it does have some interesting stuff heading into it. How many points will be scored this time, and what did these teams learn from their matchup earlier in the season? It's also nice seeing a chess match between two great coaches in Nick Saban and Les Miles.
Pretty much all of the storylines the 'Game of the Century' had, just times two.
It's also expected to be a fantastic game, regardless if the fans agree with the rematch or not.
