Week 14 College Football Predictions: 5 Bold Predictions for Saturday's Games
There may not be as many games in Week 14 as in other weeks but it is packed full of excellent ones.
It’s conference championship week across the country and there are six games between teams ranked in the Top 25. This would not be the week of college football that you want to miss.
Here are five bold predictions for what you’ll see on Saturday.
David Wilson Goes for over 150 Yards
1 of 5The Virginia Tech running back leads the ACC in rushing and is third in yards this season. Clemson’s defense has been atrocious since it’s game against Boston College, allowing no less than 28 points in each game compared to the three points the Tigers allowed to the Hokies in their first meeting.
Wilson went for 123 yards then; he should get a lot more this go around.
Wisconsin Demolishes Michigan State
2 of 5The first quarter of the first game between these two opponents was all Wisconsin. On a neutral field, expect a similar result.
Anyone who watched the game could sense a huge momentum shift from the crowd during the second quarter and the game was never the same. With Wisconsin out for revenge, it should be a very different result than the one we saw in East Lansing.
Houston Handles Southern Miss
3 of 5Houston has been unstoppable at home for nearly the whole season and with the Conference USA Championship game being held there, expect the Cougars to roll.
They had their best performance of the season last week against Tulsa and if they come out with the same intensity on both sides of the ball, the Golden Eagles won’t come close to beating them.
Georgia Hangs Around with LSU...Until the Second Half
4 of 5LSU is far and away the most dominate team in college football but Georgia is not a slouch. With the game being played in Atlanta, expect the Bulldogs to come out strong defensively for the first half.
But after that is when the Tigers start exerting their dominance. Their M.O. has been relentlessly running the ball and Georgia is already thin. Jordan Jefferson and company pull away late to make the game look much worse than it actually will be.
Oklahoma State Wins a Thriller
5 of 5History is with Oklahoma in this rivalry but this is not your average Oklahoma State team. There are two huge problems facing the Sooners in this game, injuries and the crowd.
You can bet that the Cowboy faithful will be screaming the entire game and without their best running back, wide receiver and linebacker, there won’t be enough to get the best of these offensive juggernauts.
