The best name in news and bad animation is back with their recap on the NBA lockout. It's NMA TV time, and that means the only must-watch Taiwanese programming is headed your way.
Can we all just be honest? The lockout was a load of bull and just another way for owners to become even richer in the next few years. As the free-agent market unfolds, we are learning that nothing has changed in spending practices. It's enough to drive you mad.
Well, it's a great thing we have a recap filled with ridiculous caricatures of the lockout to cheer us all up. The video has it all. By all, I of course mean an avatar of Dirk Nowitzki throwing up, LeBron James taking up space and what I assume to be an owner going Shaquille O'Neal on a backboard.
The recap gets the tone perfect as the owners are made out to be the winners as they drive public opinion. Somehow, the players were painted as greedy grubbers as small-market teams were pretty much ignored in the disdain department.
There is also plenty of Michael Jordan bashing to go around. The best that ever was is now the owner of the Charlotte Bobcats. The player's player was now the enemy as he was relentless in the line he drew in the sand.
The video makes note of all the sneakers these player have bought and helped sell in their endorsements. It seems you just can't trust anyone nowadays—even the Jumpman himself.
If you are curious as to how the lockout really ended, well, that is a matter of one owner taking a chainsaw to an NBA logo with limbs character.
That owner started chopping away until, apparently, Derek Fisher intervened. That may not be the correct story, but that's the one I am now going with since it's the most fun.
