Betting Line
San Diego State is at -8, according to Bodog. The Aztecs have been the better team this season.
At times, the Aztecs have been too close against teams they should've blown out. Even at that, there has little reason to be confident in Fresno State.
In San Diego, I would go with a win and cover here.
Key Storyline
Will San Diego State make a bowl game? Brent Schrotenboer of the San Diego Union-Tribune quoted Aztecs' coach Rocky Long as saying he didn't feel confident the Aztecs would get a bowl bid.
If that is going to happen for San Diego State, the Aztecs will certainly need to win here and will likely need to do so in style.

DB Zak Hill, DB Derron Smith, DB Phillip Thomas and FB Tapa Taumoepeau are out.
Who Might Not Play for San Diego State

DB Brandon Davis is doubtful.
DB Khalid Stevens is questionable.
QB Ryan Lindley is probable.
BCS/Top 25 Implications
None for either team. Neither squad is anywhere near being ranked.
What They're Saying
Bryant-Jon Anteola of the Fresno Bee detailed many of the problems that have hit the Bulldogs' program in recent seasons. He details what coach Pat Hill feels needs to be done to return the team to success.
"Hill said he is prepared to weed out players, if needed, if they aren't fulfilling their responsibilities. This season alone, Fresno State suspended six players at least one game, including two for the entire season. Hill mentioned implementing his old system in which a player would be kicked off after three violations.
"
Fresno State Player to Watch
Given his staggering numbers this season, QB Derek Carr would be a natural choice, but RB Robbie Rouse is also in the middle of a great season. The Bulldogs won't win without strong performances from both.
San Diego State Player to Watch
RB Ronnie Hillman has nearly 1,500 yards on the ground this season. If he's not contained, this one has blowout written all over it.
Key Matchup: Ryan Lindley vs. the Fresno State secondary
The Aztecs have a strong group of receivers that will need to be contained. It will be all on the secondary as any additional help means that Hillman will have holes.
On the Hotseat: Pat Hill
As amazing as it is to think about, Hill is very much on the hotseat. The article from Anteola explored the possibility that Hill's job may be in danger.
At the very least if he does keep his job, Hill will be on a short least in 2012.
Prediction: San Diego State 31, Fresno State 13
Playing at home and with all kinds of incentive, it's hard to see San Diego State being upset here.
