Liverpool vs. Manchester City: Luis Suarez Must Dominate for Reds To Upset City

Liverpool forward Luis Suarez must dominate on Sunday for the Reds to upset Premier League leaders Manchester City at Anfield.

Suarez has exceeded expectations since his transfer from Ajax this past January, and has scored many goals for Liverpool in all competitions.

He leads the club with four goals in league play this season, and Manchester City must stop him if they wish to hold Liverpool from scoring goals.

Suarez versus the City back four, specifically captain and center back Vincent Kompany, will be the most important battle of the match.

The Reds forward is a great finisher and moves very well inside the penalty box with his superior dribbling skills and good quickness.

Suarez is also a threat from long range if not closed down soon enough.

With City leading the Premier League in goals scored this season with 42, Suarez must make his chances count. Liverpool has not scored more than two goals in a single game in all competitions since August 27 versus Bolton in the league.

If Suarez doesn't score, Liverpool will have a tough time winning this game.

The Reds are full of confidence coming into this game after last week's thrilling win at Stamford Bridge against a struggling Chelsea side.

To beat Manchester City, the Reds must get Suarez involved early and allow him room to take on the City defenders head on.
