Bowl Projections: Oregon Will Expose Weak Big Ten in Rose Bowl Rout of Wisconsin

Oregon will blowout Wisconsin and expose the Big Ten as a weak conference in the 2012 Rose Bowl. Once Oregon wins the Pac-12 and Wisconsin wins the Big Ten, we will see the two do battle in Pasadena, but it won't be a very competitive game.

The paths for these teams to reach the Rose Bowl seems easy enough. These teams are destined to meet in Pasadena, and while the two teams seem evenly matched, Oregon will run away with this game.

Oregon's high-powered offense scores the third-most points in the nation with 45.9 per game. They also run for nearly 300 yards per game because of LaMichael James and Kenjon Barner.

The Ducks average over 500 yards of total offense per game, and they will certainly find ways to beat Wisconsin for massive gains.

The Badgers score the fourth-most points per game at 44.8 and allow the fourth-fewest at 15.8, but those numbers are skewed. They have not played many good teams because they play in the Big Ten, which is full of overrated teams.

While I respect the Badgers and I acknowledge that they are a very good team, they are nowhere near as good as Oregon.

The Ducks have arguably the best offensive attack in the nation, putting up a ridiculous 53 points on the road against then-ranked No. 4 Stanford, whose defense allows just above 20 points per game.

Oregon is going to give Wisconsin everything they can handle and then some, and they are bound to put up a lot of points, exposing this overrated defense.

Once people realize that Wisconsin is not as good as advertised, they will soon realize that no team in the Big Ten is. If Wisconsin can beat Big Ten teams by margins of 31, 38, 45 and 52, then those teams are clearly not top-25 material.

Once Oregon embarrasses Wisconsin on national television we will all realize that the Big Ten is overrated this year, and having their teams lose bowl game after bowl game will prove that.
