Florida State vs. Florida: Latest Spread Info, BCS Impact and Predictions
The Florida State Seminoles are heading to the Swamp to take on the Florida Gators in a rivalry game that has lost a lot of its luster this year.
Neither team is ranked and there are no BCS or national championship implications, as there usually are with this game.
It should still be a tightly-contested game—one that will be exciting to watch and bet on—so keep reading to find out everything to know about it.

Go with the Seminoles here.
Florida has not covered a spread in seven weeks and has been one of the worst plays to make in college football since their Week 5 matchup against Alabama.
Florida State is currently on a two game ATS slide but should pull out of it with a convincing win against the Gators here.
After a heartbreaking loss to the Virginia Cavaliers, FSU steps it up on Saturday and wins big, vaulting themselves back into the polls and a good bowl game while cashing tickets bet on them.
Over/Under: 45.5
These games have gone under during their last two matchups. Last year, FSU won, 31-7, in a game where the line was 51; a year prior, UF dominated, 37-10, with a spread of 57.
While these games can be blowouts, the victor usually won’t score enough to cover alone.
I expect that to happen here again and under is the play.
Key Injuries (via CollegeInjuryReport.com)
Florida State
C David Spurlock, OUT (undisclosed): Spurlock hasn’t played in six games because of his injury and will not be starting once again this week. It is unknown what his ailment is.
Florida
CB Jeremy Brown, OUT (knee): Brown hasn’t been playing this month because of a knee injury he suffered and has kept him out of games and practice. He won’t be returning this week and perhaps not until next season.
BCS/Top 25 Poll Implications
FSU can make their way back into the BCS Top 25 with a quality win over an SEC opponent this week.
They were dropped after losing to Virginia this week in yet another disappointing game in a season full of them.
Florida has no BCS dreams or Top 25 hopes left after a down season full of heartbreaking losses.
Keys to Florida State Win
E.J. Manuel has not been able to get any big wins this year and would like to close his season out with back-to-back victories on Saturday and in Florida State's bowl game.
Manuel has a 2009 Gator Bowl MVP trophy under his belt and also had a monster game against Clemson in 2010. He has yet to have a repeat performance this year in a game that is meaningful.
If he steps up and has a great day with his arm and legs, FSU is going to easily win.
Keys to Florida Win
Pound the rock.
Against cupcake opponent Furman, Florida had their best passing game but still struggled for the third straight week rushing the football.
Offensive coordinator Charlie Weis knows this must change.
"'I think you’d better run the ball because if you think you’re just going to line up against that front four—which is really front eight because they’ve got good talent not just in their first group but in their second group, too—but if they can turn the game into a one-dimensional game, then you have a problem,' Weis said.
