Top 10 Games Outside the EPL: November 18-21, 2011

It is back to regular season and league action this week after an eventful International break that saw the completion of the UEFA European Championship bracket. The off week also saw England's controversial victory over Spain.

In the EPL, it is business as usual, but for those who follow the other leagues around the world as well, there are some great matchups to be seen this weekend.

Spain hosts a clash between two top three clubs and Italy has some excellent top-six action in the mix. Germany's top four all play amongst one another, while in France a storied club try to lift themselves back towards title contention.

Brazil, Russia and Argentina also host some great matchups to be seen over the course of the next three match days.

Lastly, the United States will see their 2011 Champion crowned in the MLS Cup to round out a great weekend of action spanning the globe.

Zenit St Petersburg vs Anzhi Makhachkala

League: Russian Premier League

Synopsis: Samuel Eto'o will hope to lead his new high-paying club to victory over one of Russia's most storied clubs, Zenit St. Petersburg.

Prediction: Zenit 1 - 2 Anzhi

Lyon vs Rennes

Time: 2:00 PM ET, November 18th, 2011

League: French Ligue 1 Orange

Synopsis: Lyon are fighting their way up the table in France as they continue to struggle with regaining the reign at the top of Ligue 1. Rennes have had a great start and will be looking to keep pace as they hope for a chance to nab a late European place come may.

Prediction: Lyon 2 - 2 Rennes

Valencia vs Real Madrid

Time: 4:00 PM ET, November 19th, 2011

League: La Liga, Spain.

Synopsis: Cristiano Ronaldo and company travel to the Mestalla to face off against third-place Valencia. With the Bloncos poised to maintain their place at the top of the table with a win, expect a tough contest for the home team.

Prediction: Valencia 1 - 3 Real Madrid

Bayern Munich vs Borussia Dortmund

League: German Bundesliga

Synopsis: Table-toppers Bayern Munich play host to currently second-place and defending Champions Borussia Dortmund. Dortmund need a victory to pull to within three points of the Bavarians.

Prediction: Bayern Munich 3 - 2 Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Monchengladbach vs Werder Bremen

Time: 9:30 PM ET, November 19th, 2011

League: German Bundesliga

Synopsis: While Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are battling over the top of the table, third- and fourth-place teams Borussia Monchengladbach and Werder Bremen will be going head-to-head for the rights to their place in second through fourth—pending the result of the previously mentioned clash.

Prediction: Borussia M'Gladbach 2 - 2 Werder Bremen

Napoli vs Lazio

Time: 2:45 PM ET, November 19th, 2011

League: Italian Serie A

Synopsis: Second-place Lazio will travel to Napoli's fabled ground in hopes of continuing their march on the top of the table. The Neapolitans are suffering from a dip in form that has seen them drop to sixth in the table, but are hoping this could be the match to right their ship.

Prediction: Napoli 3 - 2 Lazio

Juventus vs Palermo

League: Italian Serie A

Synopsis: Fourth-place Juventus welcome surprise fifth-place Palermo into their new stadium. The Sicilian-based club have seen a great start to their season continue to pay off as the absence of Javier Pastore continues to look unnoticed in many ways.

The Old Lady of Juventus will be hoping to get a chance to leapfrog into third over AC Milan.

Prediction: Juventus 2 - 3 Palermo

Boca Juniors vs Racing Club

League: Primera División de Argentina

Synopsis: League leaders Boca Juniors host second-ranked Racing Club at their fabled La Bombonera Stadium. Junior's recent link to Carlos Tevez has been stamped out and they will return focus to maintaining their lead while Racing try to shave three points from their deficit.

Prediction: Boca Juniors 3 - 1 Racing

Figueirense vs Fluminense

League: Brazilian Premier League, BRASILEIRO

Synopsis: Fluminense sit in third place in the Brazilian table on 59 points while Figueirense are three points back in fourth on 56. It will be a battle for the third-place bragging rights as they are equal on goal differential as well.

Prediction: Figueirense 2 - 2 Fluminense

2011 MLS Cup: LA Galaxy vs Houston Dynamo

Time: 9:00 PM ET, November 20th, 2011

League: Major League Soccer, United States

Synopsis: Houston will be looking for their third MLS Cup after having won back-to-back titles in 2006 and 2007, only in their second and third years of existence since being founded in 2005.

Landon Donovan, David Beckham and Robbie Keane will hope to prove enough to lead the Galaxy to the title which they failed to attain two seasons ago, and have not won since 2005. They will not be happy with having to be runners-up for the fifth time in seven trips if they fail to win.

Prediction: LA Galaxy 2 - 1 Houston Dynamo

Some great games headline this weekend outside of the English Premier League. Real Madrid hope to keep their lead and stay clear of Barcelona, while the top four of Germany are locked in pivotal matchups.

On top of it all, the LA Galaxy and the Houston Dynamo will battle each other to see which club can lift their third MLS title.
