Keith Marshall: Breaking Down Visits and Predicting December Commitment
The nation's top uncommitted RB is 5-star prospect Keith Marshall, out of Raleigh,NC. Marshall is being hunted by all of the major programs, but is coming down the home stretch for his decision.
He's in the midst of taking visits, talking to coaches and narrowing things down. For this read, I'm going to give you an update on how things are shaping out for him and finish u with a prediction.
Let's talk some Keith Marshall recruiting!
Visited Clemson Last Weekend
1 of 4Marshall went on an official visit to Clemson last weekend and was hosted by Sammy Watkins. The two got along very well, and Marshall told Scout.com they have similar personalities.
While on the visit, Marshall got a chance to sit down with Dabo Swinney, and also Jeff Scott and Tony Elliot. Marshall was also shown how he'd be used in the Clemson offense.
The trip was an eye opener for Marshall, as he says he sees the Tigers program differently now. The people, the young talent, the feel, the coaches, all of it has really opened Marshall's eyes about playing at Clemson.
Still in the Thick of the Mix
2 of 4With Clemson emerging as a prime school, Marshall says they are up there now with the others. And by "others" he means the core three of Florida, Georgia and Notre Dame.
Marshall has taken visits to all three schools as well, as he was in Athens on September 10th, Gainesville October 1st and South Bend October 22nd.
The Gators, Bulldogs and Fighting Irish are all still in the running heavily for Marshall.
Upcoming Visits
3 of 4Marshall won't be going anywhere this weekend, but South Carolina will host him November 26th, according to Marshall and Scout.com. Columbia is also gearing to host him and pitch themselves for his services.
Marshall also says North Carolina is under consideration. He's taken several unofficial visits to Chapel Hill, and knows the program in a solid fashion.
Prediction...
4 of 4Marshall will head over to South Carolina at the end of the month, then he will sit down and start to really think. See, Marshall is graduating early in December. That means he will be on a college campus in January.
So December is when we should see him make a decision. He also says he will be playing in the Under Armour game on January 5th.
I go back and forth between Florida and Georgia. I change my Keith Marshall predictions everyday. I won't be shocked if he ends up at Florida, but right now, for today, I'm picking Georgia.
