Luis Suarez Charged: Liverpool Star Charged with Racism Against Patrice Evra
Only a few hours after FIFA president Sepp Blatter claimed there was "no racism" on the football field, the FA charged Liverpool star Luis Suarez with racially abusing Frenchman Patrice Evra.
The Uruguayan international star, according to the FA's official website, broke the rules and the law:
"The FA has today charged Liverpool’s Luis Suarez following an incident that occurred during the Liverpool versus Manchester United fixture at Anfield on 15 October 2011. It is alleged that Suarez used abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour towards Manchester United’s Patrice Evra contrary to FA rules. It is further alleged that this included a reference to the ethnic origin and/or colour and/or race of Patrice Evra.

Evra, born in Senegal, stars for Manchester United in the Barclays Premier League and also plays for the French national team.
This is just one of two racial incidents the FA is currently dealing with.
Chelsea and England captain John Terry is being investigated for allegedly racially abusing QPR defender Anton Ferdinand.
Suarez, only 24 years old, has four goals in 14 appearances for the Reds this season.
The alleged incident took place at Anfield during a 1-1 draw with defending league champions Manchester United. It was the match noted for Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard's return to the starting XI.
It will now be noted for something much more serious.
The FA is likely to act very strictly in this matter if they find him to be guilty. They only way to suppress this sort of behavior is to come down on it hard.
