Week 12 College Football Predictions: Alabama and More Teams Guaranteed a Win
We are heading towards the apex of the college football season. Teams cannot afford to lose any games right now because one loss will crush any BCS chances these teams had.
It’s why teams like the Alabama Crimson Tide will not slip up in their game this week.
Alabama is coming to the end of their regular season. Alabama this week has a cupcake team in Georgia Southern. The game will be such a one-sided blowout victory for Alabama, that there isn’t a betting line. The oddsmakers felt that any point spread would have been too easy for Alabama to cover.
For Georgia Southern to pull of an upset they would need some sort of miracle. Alabama, however, needs a large margin of victory—sitting behind them is the Oregon Ducks at No. 4 in the BCS Standings.
Alabama has to come away with a 52-3 victory this week, just in case Oregon has a blowout victory at home against an 8-2 USC Trojans.
Another team, just like Alabama, that has a cupcake game this week is the most exciting team that you are not watching.
That team you should be watching, but are not, is the Houston Cougars.
Houston leads the nation in passing and points per game. They bring an explosive offense and in six of their ten wins, they have scored over 50 points. They are currently 10-0, and will improve their perfect record to 11-0.
To do that, they will beat Southern Methodist this week. SMU has played good this year, as they are 6-4 and have qualified for a bowl game.
Their season has been good, but they have not faced an offense yet quite like Houston’s.
This week, Houston quarterback Case Keenum will go off again for five to six touchdowns. The final score will have Houston covering their 33-point spread.
Houston wins this game easily by scoring 70 points.
Along with Houston and Alabama, Michigan State has a game this week that they are guaranteed to win.
Michigan State is in first place in the Big Ten Legends division. The Spartans are set up perfectly to win the Legends division. Their final two games are against weaker teams in the Big Ten: Indiana and Northwestern.
This week against a horrible 1-9 Indiana Hoosiers, Michigan State will have no problems in winning. This game will be extra emotional, as it’s the final home game for quarterback Kirk Cousins. Cousins goes out in this game and throws for five touchdowns, and gets a huge sendoff in front of the Michigan State crowd.
Indiana has no chance in this game—Michigan State wins 56-7.
These three teams all not only will win this week, but will improve their position in the BCS Standings with wins.
