College Football Week 11: Sickest Highlights from Saturday's Games

Brian MaziqueNov 12, 2011

Week 11 had some big games on the docket. Fortunately, most of them were about the play on the field exclusively. Unfortunately, most of the attention was on Penn State hosting Nebraska for reasons far removed from football.

That game is represented in this highlights slide as well as some impressive performances from Oklahoma State and others.

This is a huge week in the season with Oregon matching up with Stanford in a late game and Oklahoma State holding serve and maintaining their grip on a place in the BCS title game.

Here are the sickest highlights from the early games.

6. Justin Blackmon

1 of 6

The Cowboys all-world WR Justin Blackmon had another strong game. This was the second of two touchdown receptions Blackmon hauled in.

The Cowboys stomped Texas Tech 66-6 as they stay on course to reach the BCS title game.

5. Rex Burkhead

2 of 6

Burkhead was the best player on the field offensively. He tallied 126 yards on 27 carries and scored on this option play from Taylor Martinez. Nebraska wins an ugly game shrouded by an ugly situation.

4. Edwin Baker

3 of 6

Edwin Baker shows some nice receiver skills for a RB as he hauls in this nice pass from Kirk Cousins. The Spartans went in to Iowa and delivered a beatdown. Spartans win convincingly, 37-21.

3. Andre Ellington

4 of 6

Clemson's junior RB Andre Ellington has been overshadowed this season by Tahj Boyd and freshman sensation Sammy Watkins. He made his mark on this play, a nice quick side step and then the spin to finish the run.

Ellington had 98 yards on 25 carries and two TDs as the Tigers escaped on a last-second FG, 31-28.

2. Isaiah Pead

5 of 6

Isaiah Pead, the Bearcats senior RB, rumbled in for the impressive TD run against West Virginia. He had 113 yards on 19 carries with this TD, but it wasn't enough to hold off the Mountaineers as the No. 23 Bearcats fell 24-21.

1. Isaiah Anderson

6 of 6

Isaiah was the name of the day today for college football highlights. Anderson pulled in this beautiful over-the-shoulder catch for the TD from Brandon Weeden.

The Cowboys rolled straight over Texas Tech, and Anderson proved Justin Blackmon isn't the only good receiver the Cowboys have.
