Tom Bradley Press Conference: Interim Head Coach Shows He's Overwhelmed
"Do I look that bad?" interim head coach Tom Bradley asked when a reporter inquired on how much sleep he's had.
Well, sorry Tom, but yeah, you do.
Bradley looked tired, uninterested, annoyed and unable to answer most of the questions at today's press conference.
Honestly, with everything that has gone on, can you really blame him?
No, you can't.
Still, this was just another sign that Bradley isn't quite ready for this kind of limelight.
He's done interviews before, sure, but nothing ever like this.
He hasn't held a press conference on zero hours of sleep as he steps in to replace a living icon just a day after one of the biggest scandals in history.
Then again, who has faced that kind of situation?
Unfortunately for Bradley, he's absolutely going to have to face lots of these types of situations in the coming year. That's just the type of job the Penn State head coach is going to have.
And it's now apparent he just isn't ready for all of this.
By direction, Bradley wasn't able to answer any questions that regarded the on-going investigation, but what about the football related questions?
He didn't get a ton of those. However, he didn't give much of an answer to the ones he did receive.
It's as simple as this: Tom Bradley needs to be better at answering press questions. It's a huge part of being a head coach, and if he wants to hold this job he absolutely needs to do better.
He held himself with class today, and that's a great sign for the future. However, he needs to get better at answering the questions.
Bradley gets a pass because of the dire situation, but in the future he needs to open up a little bit.
