BCS Rankings 2011: Games That Will Decide BCS Title Clash
With the 2011 college football season winding down, the BCS title game picture will start to become clearer by the week.
There are a few key games left this season that will ultimately decide the two teams who will meet in the 2012 BCS title game in January.
Saturday, November 12: Oregon Ducks vs. Standford Cardinals
In a battle of Pac-12 powerhouses, this matchup definitely makes the winner a deserving BCS title game contender.
Led by Heisman hopeful Andrew Luck, Stanford will look to stay undefeated, as they enter the game with an 8-0 record.
The game will be Standford's toughest test of the season and would solidify their spot in the title game conversation.
Oregon, on the other hand, has already faced their toughest test this year in their first game, when they fell to current No. 1 LSU Tigers.
With a win, Oregon will look to make it back to the BCS title game for the second straight year, which would be a feat in and of itself.
Friday, November 25: Arkansas Razorbacks vs. LSU Tigers
This game is the regular season finale for both teams. The heat will be on as the Razorback look to end the Tigers' BCS title game hopes get their name thrown into the mix, as well.
By the time the game happens, Arkansas may very well be in the Top Five, and a huge win over No.1 LSU would make their case for a BCS title game very solid.
In LSU's favor, a win against Arkansas will stamp their ticket to the BCS title game and culminate a long, grinding season with a much-earned BCS title bowl birth.
Saturday, December 3: Oklahoma vs. Oklahoma State
By the time this game takes place, we could be talking about No. 2 Oklahoma State vs. No. 3 Oklahoma, in what will be an all out war, deciding who will go to the BCS title game.
In an already normally intense instate rivalry game, the BCS title implications will make this stanza of the Bedlam Series the biggest one in it's 107-year history.
It is the perfect game to end the 2011 college football regular season, as the fireworks are sure to fly in a game with such huge implications involved.
