NBA Video: Watch Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh and More Get Schooled on Bling
Do you want to see some NBA All Stars? How about some top-level hoops action? Well, the lockout is still very much on so you will have to settle for this still very fly video of NBA stars rocking the new duo-titanium Phiten bracelet.
Phiten, the good people of useless bracelets worn for their gifts of fashion, presents Still Flexin' by Pac Div. In all, I have to say I rather enjoyed the music video that also doubles as a commercial in the line of Phiten paraphernalia.
Carmelo Anthony joins Chris Bosh, Eric Gordon and Derrick Williams in the classroom. The basketball studs are there for another boring lesson.
As you can see, they can hardly fight back the boredom in their eyes. That's when Pac Div states they are going to do something different for this lesson.
Apparently, they are going to take a trip around history to study the beginnings of bling. Essentially, this is the same plot of Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, only with a whole lot more hip-hop.
The song is beyond catchy and I could hardly keep from bobbing my gigantic body to the music. There is also the bare minimum of Phiten mention in the whole commercial. You have to wait until the end to see the bracelet in all its glory.
At that point, I had to agree that the new Phiten is pretty snazzy. It surely remains one of the most meaningless piece of athletic wear.
Those that adore Phiten will tell you it helps performance. I will side with years of practice and god-given talent over a magical bracelet any day.
Nice video though. And I love the swagger that accompanies the NBA stars of now and tomorrow in one classroom. This is as good as it will get for NBA action until the lockout ends. Enjoy and savor.
