College Football's FBS Conferences: Ranking Them All Heading into Week 10

Maiah HollanderOct 31, 2011

The season is approaching the finish line, and teams are desperately trying to keep their footing for the last few weeks.

Most notably is the showdown between LSU and Alabama for national supremacy, and official bragging rights to carry them to the end of the season.

What is happening this week could very well decide the BCS Championship matchup.

1. Big 12

1 of 12

The Cowboys blew out the decent Baylor squad, and look like they sure do belong in the No. 3 spot in the BCS rankings.

While their passing attack gets most of the headlines, they bulldozed the Bears with 327 yards rushing.

2. SEC

The controversy over who is No.1 in the SEC (and in the nation) will be decided this coming Saturday in this year’s game of the century.

While the defenses look to be similarly awesome, I believe the Crimson Tide’s offense is a little bit better and should make the difference.

Although with the “Mad Hatter” Les Miles, you never know…

Clemson’s National Title hopes are gone after their 31-17 loss at Georgia Tech, but they still look like the BCS team out of the ACC.

They need to bounce back quickly however against Wake Forest.
