English Premier League Power Rankings: Week 10

As the calendar turns to November, the Premier League is close to a third of the way done with the season already and to no one's surprise at the moment, Manchester City is dominating the league at the top of the table.

City pulled off another victory this weekend and so did Newcastle as both clubs remained unbeaten in Premier League play this season.

Manchester United rebounded from their blowout loss at City with a win over Everton while Arsenal made a statement in a London derby match with Chelsea in an eight goal shootout.

On the other end of the table, Wigan and Bolton continued to struggle and two familiar faces in the Premier League picture fell further down the table as Fulham and Everton sit close to the relegation zone at the moment.

As always, last week's ranking is in parenthesis.

20. Wigan (20)

Wigan are getting used to filling the role of cellar dweller as they sit in last place in the rankings and now last in the Premier League table as well.

The latest addition to the Latics' misery was a 2-0 loss to Fulham on Saturday.

It may finally be time for the club to consider getting rid of manager Roberto Martinez after the second straight slow start for Wigan.

19. Bolton (18)

Bolton were taken down for the eighth time already this season as they lost 3-1 to Swansea on Saturday in Wales.

The Trotters did have a player score for the second straight game as Swansea conceded an own goal in the second half long after Ricardo Gardner was sent off for his second yellow card.

A Sunday clash with Stoke at home is up next in a came that could decide the fate of manager Owen Coyle before the international break.

18. Wolverhampton (16)

Wolves ran into the unstoppable train that is Manchester City on Saturday as they lost 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium.

Stephen Hunt scored a 75th minute penalty to avoid the shutout, but Wolves really had no chance against a dominant City club, who Wolves lost to in the Carling Cup earlier in the week as well.

A relegation battle at the Molineux Stadium awaits Wolves and its fans as they host Wigan on Sunday.

17. Blackburn (19)

A two goal lead on the road at Norwich was not enough for Blackburn to hold on to as they gave up two late goals and drew 3-3 with the East Anglia side.

The draw came a few days after Steve Kean and company defeated Newcastle in the Carling Cup to advance to the quarterfinals of the competition and save Kean's job for now.

Rovers are now up to 18th place in the table ahead of a home match Saturday at Ewood Park with Chelsea.

16. Swansea City (17)

Swansea got their third win at home and overall on Saturday as they defeated Bolton 3-1 at the Liberty Stadium.

Joe Allen, Scott Sinclair and Danny Graham were the goal scorers in the winning effort which boosted the Swans up to 10th in the table.

A trip to Anfield is up next for the Welsh club as they look the repeat Norwich's success at Liverpool from two weeks ago and get a point from Liverpool.

15. Stoke City (14)

Jonathan Walters' 75th minute penalty was a late consolation for the Potters as they lost 3-1 to Newcastle on Monday night.

The crowded fixture list continues this week for the Potters as they travel to Israel to face Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Europa League on Thursday before traveling to Bolton on Sunday.

14. Fulham (15)

Fulham earned their second win of the season at Wigan on Saturday.

Clint Dempsey scored his third goal of the season in the first half while Moussa Dembele scored his first goal of the Premier League campaign in the 87th minute.

Two home games await the Cottagers before the international break as they host Wisla Krakow in the Europa League on Thursday before a London derby match with Tottenham on Sunday.

13. West Brom (8)

Roy Hodgson's attempt to beat his former club Liverpool were cut short as the Baggies lost 2-0 to their guests at The Hawthorns on Saturday.

The loss broke the Baggies four game unbeaten streak and knocked them down to 13th in the table with 11 points.

12. Queens Park Rangers (9)

QPR were on the losing end of the most popular score of the weekend, 3-1, as the fell to Tottenham in a London derby at White Hart Lane.

The loss marks only the second time that Neil Warnock's club have not gotten any points since the big end of summer spending spree to end the transfer window.

Now, QPR look to steal points from Manchester City as they host the league leaders at Loftus Road on Saturday.

11. Everton (10)

After beating Fulham last week, Everton did not have the same success in their two games this week.

The Toffees were defeated by Chelsea in the Carling Cup at midweek and then dropped their game with Manchester United by a 1-0 score.

David Moyes and company visit Newcastle on Saturday before an easy part to their schedule awaits them after the international break with Wolves and Bolton on the fixture list to end November.

10. Sunderland (13)

Stephane Sessegnon became the hero at the death again for Sunderland as he scored in the 89th minute to give the Black Cats a 2-2 draw with Aston Villa.

The goal was Sessegnon's second of the season and second in two weeks as he scored the winner against Bolton last week.

Steve Bruce makes the annual trip back to Old Trafford on Saturday as his current club face his former club Manchester United.

9. Chelsea (6)

Chelsea got three goals on Saturday but were unable to match Arsenal's five in the London derby match.

Frank Lampard, John Terry and Juan Mata scored for the Blues in the 5-3 loss.

Lampard now leads the club with five league goals after he scored the first goal of the game for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Road trips to Racing Genk in the Champions League on Tuesday and Blackburn on Saturday in the Premier League are up next for Andre Villas-Boas and company.

8. Aston Villa (12)

The Villains rebounded from two tough losses to Manchester City and West Brom with a draw away at Sunderland.

Richard Dunne scored what looked to be the winner in the 85th minute but Sunderland scored an equalizer four minutes later and ended the game in a 2-2 draw.

Villa host a stingy Norwich City side at Villa Park on Saturday.

7. Norwich City (11)

Grant Holt played the role of hero for the second straight week as he scored in the 90th minute on a penalty to give the Canaries a 3-3 draw with Blackburn.

Steve Morison and Bradley Johnson scored the first two goals for Paul Lambert's club before Holt equalized one week after he did the same to Liverpool at Anfield.

The newly promoted sit in a comfortable eighth place in the table ahead of their visit to Birmingham to face Aston Villa.

6. Manchester United (7)

Chicharito was the lone goal scorer in United's game with Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday.

The Mexican struck in the 19th minute and it was enough to guide United to a 1-0 win.

United will host two games at Old Trafford this week as Otelul Galati visit on Wednesday in Champions League play and then Sunderland come in on Saturday.

5. Liverpool (5)

Liverpool took care of business at The Hawthorns on Saturday as Charlie Adam and Andy Carroll scored a goal apiece to give the Reds a 2-0 win over West Brom.

Swansea visit Anfield in a fairly easy game compared to what is up on the schedule after the international break as Chelsea and Manchester City round out Liverpool's November schedule.

4. Arsenal (4)

Arsenal put a whooping on London rivals Chelsea on Saturday as the Gunners won 5-3 on the road at Stamford Bridge.

Robin van Persie was yet again the star for the Gunners as he scored a hat trick in the game. Andre Santos and Theo Walcott also scored in the win.

A difficult matchup with Marseille is ahead on Tuesday in the Champions League before West Brom visit the seventh place Gunners.

3. Newcastle (3)

Demba Ba powered Newcastle to victory as the Senegal international netted a hat trick against Stoke on Monday.

Ba now has five goals in the league this season and is proving to be a valuable signing by Alan Pardew after joining from West Ham this summer.

A home match with Everton awaits the undefeated Magpies on Saturday at St. James' Park.

2. Tottenham (2)

Two goals from Gareth Bale and a goal from Rafael van der Vaart gave Spurs a 3-1 over fellow London club QPR on Sunday.

The win keeps Spurs in fifth place in the table and it continued their seven game unbeaten streak.

A trip to Russia to face Rubin Kazan is ahead in the Europa League on Thursday before Harry Redknapp and company visit Fulham on Sunday.

1. Manchester City (1)

Manchester City continued their dominance at the top of the Premier League as they took care of Wolves on Saturday by the score of 3-1.

Edin Dzeko, Alexander Kolarov and Adam Johnson were the goal scorers for Roberto Mancini's club as City kept their point lead over rivals Manchester United.

The on fire City take their show to Spain on Wednesday to face Villarreal and then visit London to take on QPR in a league match on Saturday.
