BCS Rankings: Nebraska Cornhuskers and Teams That Will Fall This Weekend

Michael MillOct 31, 2011

We saw some crazy results last week in the college football world that has shaken up the BCS Rankings for yet another week.

We could be in store for just as many crazy finishes this weekend.

Obviously, the most anticipated is the matchup between No. 1 LSU and No. 2 Alabama.

One of those teams will fall this weekend.

Here are three other ranked teams who will lose their matchups in Week 10.

No. 10 Nebraska Cornhuskers

This is going to be one of the most exciting offensive performances this week.

The 7-1 Nebraska Cornhuskers take on a 3-5 Northwestern Wildcats team that has been overlooked all season.

When healthy, quarterback Dan Persa is one of the best in the nation at his position. Last week he led the Wildcat offense to 59 points against Indiana.

The reason the Wildcats have struggled a lot this season is because of the time Persa missed with injuries.

Now that he is back we will be in store for a shootout. Don't doubt this Northwestern offense, they are going to put up points.

No. 9 South Carolina Gamecocks

I think that the No. 7 Arkansas Razorbacks are one of the most overrated teams by the BCS.

I think that the No. 9 South Carolina Gamecocks are even more overrated.

Both teams have gotten a lot of love simply due to the fact that they are both SEC teams.

However, overrated or not, this should be a great game. It will be a battle between the Arkansas offense and the South Carolina defense all game long.

The good news for Arkansas is that it won't have to score much. If they can manage at least three touchdowns it should walk away with a win.

No. 14 Kansas State Wildcats

The undefeated Kansas State Wildcats fell last week at the hands of the Oklahoma Sooners. It was an ugly game for the crew, ending with a final score of 58-17.

If the Wildcats struggled with the Oklahoma offense, they are going to have a load of problems with Oklahoma State.

The Cowboys have the second-highest scoring offense in the nation, averaging 49.9 points per game.

Oklahoma State also knows that they are playing for their season in this game. A win will put them as the second-ranked team in the nation.

Shouldn't need any more motivation than that.
