BCS Rankings: Huge Week 10 Matchups Will Shape Rankings for Rest of Season
I cannot wait until this Saturday. We have three awesome marquee games being played and easily the most important and anticipated matchup of the college football season finally taking place.
The hype has been building for months around this Nov. 5 "Judgment Day" as the LSU Tigers prepare to travel to Tuscaloosa to take on the Alabama Crimson Tide.
We also get to see South Carolina and Arkansas duke it out, as well as a nice Big 12 battle between Oklahoma State and Kansas State.
Let’s take a quick look at these three games that are going to shake the landscape of the BCS rankings for the rest of the season.
LSU vs. Alabama
The BCS No. 1 versus the BCS No. 2 playing in November is incredible. The winner of this is definitely going to take down the SEC West and find themselves in the SEC championship.
I have no doubt that whoever comes out on top here is going to win out and appear in the BCS national championship game this January.
These two schools are powerhouses, and it’s going to be an absolute bloodbath this weekend as both teams try their hardest to assert dominance and bring glory to their program.
South Carolina vs. Arkansas
These are the two best SEC schools after LSU and Alabama, and they have a ton to play for.
The winner of this should definitely be making a top BCS bowl, and South Carolina will most likely be playing LSU or Alabama in the SEC Championship game.
By winning here and winning out, the Gamecocks can keep their own national title hopes alive if they manage to pull an upset in that season ending game.
Oklahoma State vs. Kansas State
Is Kansas State a fluke or are they legitimate?
They seem flukey after their big loss to the Oklahoma Sooners last week, but they could prove otherwise by handing the Pokes their first loss this season.
Oklahoma State has other ideas as they try to continue their magical run this season and hope to contend for the first national title in school history by going undefeated.
We will see if they can get past the always-dangerous Wildcats this weekend.
