BCS Rankings Week 10: 5 Ranked Teams That Will Be on Upset Alert

Austin GreenJun 7, 2018

As evidenced by all the top ten teams that have been losing recently, no one is safe at this point in the season.

Week 10 features several intriguing matchups, which means the favorites could be in trouble. Here are five ranked teams that will be given all they can handle on Saturday.

No. 1 LSU Tigers

The Tigers have dominated ranked opponents all season long, but I think it will be a very different story when they take on No. 2 Alabama this week.

Both teams are 8-0 and 5-0 in SEC play. Both teams feature absolutely terrifying defenses.

I think LSU will win, but it won't be nearly as convincing as their previous performances. This game will go right down to the wire.

No. 3 Oklahoma State Cowboys

The Cowboys have a tough matchup this week when they take on Collin Klein and the Kansas State Wildcats.

K-State was humiliated by Oklahoma in Week 9, so I expect them to come out swinging on Saturday.

Oklahoma State's defense was exceptional in their Week 9 win against Baylor. However, Klein presents a unique challenge.

The dual-threat quarterback has 22 total touchdowns this season, 14 of which have come on the ground.

The Cowboys defense will have to be near perfect if they are going to stay undefeated.

No. 7 Arkansas Razorbacks

The Razorbacks have been very unimpressive their last two games, falling behind against both Ole Miss and Vanderbilt.

Arkansas takes on No. 9 South Carolina on Saturday and they can't afford another slow start. The Gamecocks are shorthanded, but they still have more talent than the last two teams Arkansas has faced.

If the Razorbacks fall behind early this week, they will be punished with their second loss of the season.

No. 20 Wisconsin Badgers

The Badgers have fallen in consecutive weeks and shouldn't be trusted by anyone.

The play Purdue this week, and although the Boilermakers are only 4-4, they are still dangerous. They've already upset one ranked team this season (then-23rd ranked Illinois).

Wisconsin should win, but they should have won their last two games as well. I don't know what to expect from these guys anymore.

No. 21 Texas Longhorns

Texas was excellent in Week 9, beating down Kansas 43-0.

This week they face a dangerous Texas Tech team that will be looking to prove their upset over Oklahoma was no fluke.

The two teams have contrasting styles, as the Longhorns are 17th in the nation in rushing yards per game (218.9) and the Red Raiders are fifth in the nation in passing yards per game (359.6).

This one will be similar to the Tech-Oklahoma game, in that it will likely come down to the final minutes. I think Texas will hold on, but it will be very close
