BCS Rankings: Oklahoma and Teams Who Will Get Back on BCS Track

Mick AkersOct 29, 2011

After a wild Week 8 in college football where we saw BCS bowl favorites go down, those teams will be looking to right their BCS hopes this week.

Here is Oklahoma and the three teams who will be ready for blood and get their BCS bowl hopes back on track.

The Wisconsin Badgers lost a wild game after a crazy fourth-quarter comeback that ended on a wild Hail Mary bomb, crushing the Badgers' BCS hopes for the time being, dropping them from No. 6 to No. 15 in the BCS standings.

Look for Wisconsin to bounce back in a major way today against Ohio State at Ohio Stadium.

Wisconsin quarterback Russell Wilson is poised for a big game, and a 20-point-plus victory is just what the doctor ordered to get the Michigan State blues out of the Badgers system.

Texas

Although their hopes are not as great as the other teams on this list, Texas' close loss to No. 3 Oklahoma State two weeks ago and a blowout loss to then-No. 3 Oklahoma ended Texas' momentum they had built up.

A blowout win against Kansas today will get them going in the right direction again, and a big time showdown with Oklahoma-slayer Texas Tech next week will offer Texas a chance to get back into BCS bowl talk again.

Oklahoma

After suffering their first loss of the season to Texas Tech last week, Oklahoma's BCS title hopes are now in jeopardy.

A huge bounce-back spot against No. 8 BCS-ranked Kansas State will provide a chance to spring Oklahoma back into the BCS title talks.

Don't expect Oklahoma to come out with a first-loss hangover, as they know they need a blowout win in order make their BCS title hopes a reality again.

An impressive win over Kansas State will help ease the pain of last week's loss and make the year-end game against Oklahoma State a huge game once again, provided the two teams go undefeated from here on out.
